Edinburgh Museums and Galleries is a group of fifteen fascinating venues and hundreds of historic and contemporary monuments that are operated by the City of Edinburgh Council’s Culture and Sport Service. With the majority of these located in the city’s historic centre, visitors are offered a world-class museum experience and a diverse collection of approximately 150,000 objects of national significance.

The Edinburgh City of Literature Trust is the development agency for the world’s first UNESCO City of Literature. It aims to bring books, words and ideas to the streets of Edinburgh through year-round events, projects and strategic partnerships both locally and internationally.
