With an international reputation as a prize-winning novelist, Ron Butlin is also one of Scotland’s best-known poets. He was made Edinburgh University’s first Honorary Writing Fellow, together with Ian Rankin. His work has won many prizes and he has participated in festivals worldwide. The Sound of My Voice has twice been awarded a ‘Best Foreign Novel’ prize, and was included in the Guardian’s ‘1000 Novels You Have To Read’.
The Magicians of Edinburgh is in its sixth imprint. His new poetry collection, The Magicians of Scotland, will appear in 2015. His most recent novel is Ghost Moon.
